As the article states:

Home values seem to have reached a plateau, property sales are up and foreclosures are slightly down, leaving officials cautiously optimistic about the state of Summit’s real estate market.

To date, the number of Summit County real estate transactions has increased ten percent over sales from the entirety of last year. However, the average price for homes sold this year has dropped by more than $70,000. It does seems like a great time to get into the Summit County Real Estate Market – as a buyer!

Despite an overall increase so far this year in the number of Summit County real estate transactions, the current property inventory is still fairly high in our region. Furthermore, analysis of the Summit County realty market through July 2011 shows median prices for single family homes and multi-family units (condos) have remained almost flat in comparison to 2010. As a result, it’s safe to say that your Summit County property search could turn up some terrific homes at excellent price points.
