Summit County Real Estate Market Trends for April 2015
Land Title Guarantee Company recently released its monthly Summit County Real Estate Market Trends for April 2015. On a seasonal basis, April is one of the slowest months for local real estate activity, since it’s right at the end of the winter ski season. The Summit County real estate market has its highest level of activity during the summer and early fall.
As part of its analysis, LTGC provided the monthly percentage change in total dollar volume & total number of real estate transactions across Summit County. Comparing April 2015 to the month of April in recent years, the totals were as follows:
- April 2010 – $340,792,200 generated from 91 transactions
- April 2011 – $66,323,300 generated from 106 transactions
- April 2012 – $52,777,200 generated from 113 transactions
- April 2013 – $64,326,500 generated from 134 transactions
- April 2014 – $59,517,300 generated from 117 transactions
- April 2015 – $92,373,585 generated from 153 transactions
Looking at these statistics, the local real estate market in April 2015 markedly increased in comparison to April 2014. The total dollar volume of sales in April 2015 increased a staggering 55% from April 2014. The number of real estate transactions in Summit County in April 2015 trended upward dramatically as well – up 31% from April 2014. As a result, the Summit County real estate market is continuing to build on a great start in 2015.
To recap Summit County real estate market trends in the last three months of 2014 and the first three months in 2015:
- In March 2015, the number of real estate transactions in Summit County increased 25% from March 2014, and the total dollar volume of sales in March 2015 increased 37% from February 2014.
- In February 2015, the number of real estate transactions in Summit County increased 28% from February 2014, and the total dollar volume of sales in February 2015 increased 25% from February 2014.
- In January 2015, the number of real estate transactions in Summit County increased 25% from January 2014, and the total dollar volume of sales in January 2015 increased 28% from January 2014.
- In December 2014, the number of real estate transactions in Summit County increased a whopping 32% from December 2013, and the total dollar volume of sales in December 2014 markedly trended upward about 14% from December 2013.
- In November 2014, the number of real estate transactions in Summit County increased 19% from November 2013, and the total dollar volume of sales in November 2014 increased 16% from November 2013.
- In October 2014, the number of real estate transactions in Summit County increased 5% from October 2013, and the total dollar volume of sales in October 2014 increased 6% from October 2013.
