Summit County Real Estate Market Trends for July 2015
Land Title Guarantee Company recently released its monthly Summit County Real Estate Market Trends for July 2015. On a seasonal basis, July is right in the midst of the busiest season for real estate buyers and sellers. The Summit County real estate market has its highest level of activity during the summer and early fall.
As part of its analysis, LTGC provided the monthly percentage change in total dollar volume & total number of real estate transactions across Summit County. Comparing July 2015 to the month of July in recent years, the totals were as follows:
- July 2010 – $79,753,200 generated from 75 transactions
- July 2011 – $65,898,700 generated from 98 transactions
- July 2012 – $71,800,475 generated from 131 transactions
- July 2013 – $108,430,700 generated from 163 transactions
- July 2014 – $95,597,625 generated from 201 transactions
- July 2015 – $117,921,469 generated from 202 transactions
Looking at these statistics, the local real estate market in July 2015 trended upward in comparison to July 2014. The total dollar volume of sales in July 2015 increased a significant 23% from July 2014. Meanwhile, the number of real estate transactions in Summit County in July 2015 remained somewhat flat in comparison to July 2014. As a result, just past the midpoint of the year, the Summit County real estate market added on yet another good month in 2015.
To recap Summit County real estate market trends in the first six months of 2015:
- In June 2015, the number of real estate transactions in Summit County increased 86% from June 2014, and the total dollar volume of sales in June 2015 increased 69% from June 2014.
- In May 2015, the number of real estate transactions in Summit County increased 18% from May 2014, and the total dollar volume of sales in May 2015 increased 27% from May 2014.
- In April 2015, the number of real estate transactions in Summit County increased 31% from April 2014, and the total dollar volume of sales in April 2015 increased 55% from April 2014.
- In March 2015, the number of real estate transactions in Summit County increased 25% from March 2014, and the total dollar volume of sales in March 2015 increased 37% from February 2014.
- In February 2015, the number of real estate transactions in Summit County increased 28% from February 2014, and the total dollar volume of sales in February 2015 increased 25% from February 2014.
- In January 2015, the number of real estate transactions in Summit County increased 25% from January 2014, and the total dollar volume of sales in January 2015 increased 28% from January 2014.
