Summit County Real Estate Market Trends for September 2015
Land Title Guarantee Company recently released its monthly Summit County Real Estate Market Trends for September 2015. On a seasonal basis, September is right in the midst of the busiest season for real estate buyers and sellers. The Summit County real estate market has its highest level of activity during the summer and early fall.
As part of its analysis, LTGC provided the monthly percentage change in total dollar volume & total number of real estate transactions across Summit County. Comparing September 2015 to the month of September in recent years, the totals were as follows:
- September 2010 – $78,228,400 generated from 149 transactions
- September 2011 – $79,799,400 generated from 162 transactions
- September 2012 – $90,330,100 generated from 164 transactions
- September 2013 – $111,130,100 generated from 254 transactions
- September 2014 – $147,078,700 generated from 286 transactions
- September 2015 – $165,716,318 generated from 301 transactions
Looking at these statistics, the local real estate market in September 2015 trended upward in comparison to September 2014. The total dollar volume of sales in September 2015 significantly increased 13% from September 2014. Meanwhile, the number of real estate transactions in Summit County in September 2015 moved ahead 5% from September 2014. As a result, three-quarters of the way through the year, the Summit County real estate market tacked on yet another good month in 2015.
To recap Summit County real estate market trends previously in 2015:
- In August 2015, the number of real estate transactions in Summit County sharply increased 25% from August 2014, and the total dollar volume of sales in August 2015 surged ahead 49% from August 2014.
- In July 2015, the number of real estate transactions in Summit County remained flat in comparison to July 2014, and the total dollar volume of sales in July 2015 increased 23% from July 2014.
- In June 2015, the number of real estate transactions in Summit County increased 86% from June 2014, and the total dollar volume of sales in June 2015 increased 69% from June 2014.
- In May 2015, the number of real estate transactions in Summit County increased 18% from May 2014, and the total dollar volume of sales in May 2015 increased 27% from May 2014.
- In April 2015, the number of real estate transactions in Summit County increased 31% from April 2014, and the total dollar volume of sales in April 2015 increased 55% from April 2014.
- In March 2015, the number of real estate transactions in Summit County increased 25% from March 2014, and the total dollar volume of sales in March 2015 increased 37% from February 2014.
- In February 2015, the number of real estate transactions in Summit County increased 28% from February 2014, and the total dollar volume of sales in February 2015 increased 25% from February 2014.
- In January 2015, the number of real estate transactions in Summit County increased 25% from January 2014, and the total dollar volume of sales in January 2015 increased 28% from January 2014.
